Jabiru Engine Seminars
Jabiru USA staff members perioidcally offer Engine Maintenance & Installation Seminars for people interested in Jabiru engines. These seminars are open to experimental aircraft builders, LSA owners, A&Ps, LSA Repairmen, and anyone else who would like a better understanding of Jabiru engines.
Course participants learn the mechanics of the engine, how to properly install it, and how to maintain it once it's flying. They examine the ignition, lubrication, carburetion, electrical, and exhaust systems, participate in a tuning exercise, and participate in a hands-on cylinder overhaul in which they build a cylinder from the crankshaft out.
Courses typically run over a three-day weekend. Shelbyville courses are held at our LSA build facility and engine shop conveniently located on the northwest corner of Shelbyville Municipal Airport, KSYI. Nearby hotels give discounts to Jabiru USA customers and Enterprise car rental is located on the field.
